32 years on the same hill
Edilberto established Bellavista three decades ago and has built his life around it, his home, his family, and his livelihood all on the same 3 hectares at 1,850 masl in Santa María. The farm runs around 13,000 coffee trees alongside fruit trees and a small vegetable garden, with a team of five permanent workers handling daily maintenance and processing, plus one seasonal picker at harvest. It's a farm with real roots.
Cuatro Vientos
Bellavista sells through Cuatro Vientos, a family-run exporter founded in 2018 by the Gonzalez family and managed by Yonatan Gonzalez, a third-generation producer with a background in logistics. The company works across both Northern and Southern Huila, with purchasing points in Santa María, Algeciras, and Acevedo, giving them access to two distinct harvest windows across the year.
Washed, Huila
After handpicking, cherries are floated and fermented in plastic bags or tanks before drying on marquesinas or patios, a traditional Huila approach that suits the region's reputation for clean, structured, expressive cups. Santa María sits in the northern part of the department, with its main harvest running June to July.
